there's nothing special about the honda oil filter. It's just a regular cheap mass-market filter. Probably manufactured by some company that makes generic oil filters for everyone. It'll get the job done OK. If you don't mind spending a couple dollars more(like me) get either the Fram ultra or the M1. They've got metal filter elements instead of paper. Not that that makes a big difference if you change the filter every time. If you leave it on for two oil changes or 10k miles I would get a better filter than the OEM one.
