I have a 2017 LX, with CarPlay, etc - the current set up is stock speakers in the back, stock tweeters, and Rockford Fosgates in the doors; I find the sound much CLEARER, but there is little bass and I'd like to resolve that without messing with the stock radio itself.

I am also a total noob with car audio, BUT I do have a technical background and am comfortable doing DIY as long as I know what I need to get in terms of parts.

This is what I'm thinking for sub... it's affordable and I don't need something huge. Put this under the seat, perhaps?

https://www.crutchfield.ca/p_777B8PTD/Sound-Ordnance-B-8PTD.html what else would I need?

Suggestions? Ideas? I found Crutchfield super helpful when I got my speakers and the install was simple.

slap 2 12in subs in the rear and call it a day :headbang:

lol thats just preference, but if you're going to go the route of powered sub youll need an amp power kit i believe to hook it all up and an LOC to get signal to the sub if not equipped with high level inputs

Sound dampening in your doors will make a huge improvement in those Fosgate sound.

At the very least try these

Also, did you use gasket tape?
