They keep talking about quicker. I'm still waiting for the 1/4 mile test.

I read it was only a different ratio for 6th gear providing more acceleration in 6th gear. Who does that any way....
Where did you read it was 6th? I thought it was the final drive ratio. Huge difference.

Final gear does not mean the last gear or in our case 6th gear.
Try researching about gear ratio.

my understanding is it is final gear ratio that was changed, not 6th gear

2020 Honda Civic Si Gets a New Fascia and a Shorter Final Drive Ratio. ... Honda's just revealed the newly updated Si coupe and sedan for 2020, bringing reshaped looks, interior improvements, and a shorter final drive ratio. As far as the powertrain goes, nochanges have been made for the 2020model year.

i really wish we got the shortened final gear ratio in my 2019 :(
We have to see if this makes a difference in track times. Otherwise you're just burning more gas. I'd rather have the LEDs and black rims more.

I would have welcomed taller final gear ratio to get the zero to 60 in one shift. That alone would have been enough for a sub 6 second 0-60. Probably low 5’s for TSP Stage 1. It is all the shifting that makes the car “slow” in the lower gears, time wise.

They pulled a 6.3 and a 14.8 out of the 2017 coupe

6.3 seconds to reach 60 mph in our previous testing and powered through the quarter mile in 14.8 seconds at 96 mph.
