So I really like the type R but I do a lot of mountain biking and I would need to install a hitch onto it, but with that center exhaust will this be possible? and no I do not want to use a roof rack.

Yeah, I’m not sure I’d use my FK8’for towing a trailer. Lol!

However, for if you do need to Tow your FK8 the system we use is the way to go!

In our trailer we use an e-track system and tire-tie down straps. You park the vehicle in place, set the parking brake and strap it down; nothing touches the vehicles chassis.

Very similar to the way they are tied down when transported from Port on the big rig with open transport.

Check this system out. We use it with a lot of our Ferrari and other non-tow hitch style vehicles.

Works awesome:

Can't just put the bike in the back of the hatch with the seat down?

The Curt hatchback hitch C11463 would probably fit, but you'd need a custom exhaust system. I plan on trying to fit the Curt hitch once winter is over. (I already have a Thermal R&D exhaust system.)

I would need it to haul 2 bikes.
What about getting a Type R and a used high mileage vehicle for when you wanna go bike riding? I definitely wouldn't pass this car up if you have the means of getting it.

This. A beater truck shouldn’t set you too far back.

As long as you're towing 150-250 # and only one passenger, the CTR will work as well as any Civic. Tongue weight should be under 30# and gearing/brakes are over the top for towing. A custom hitch will set you back as much as the trailer, but suspect most good custom hitch shops would like to take it on.
