Hi all,

Did anyone already try to install type R fenders on the civic SI? Do you guys think that is needed to also install the front type R front bumper for this modification?

Check out this fake fender vent i saw on an Si the other day. Hard to see with this pic and on a black car, but this Si had some cheesy ass ebay cosmetic mods.

Ugh. Stay away from those shitty Ebay body kits and bumper covers. Sorry, once people start doing shit like this, it cries out immature teenage cheese. It's a great looking car right off the lot, just leave it alone folks

No guys, I really wanted the Type R ones.. I like functional things on my car..
Even if you got it to fit, it was not designed for the Si and therefore would not be functional. Honda engineers designed it specifically for the bigger tire and brakes set up and for additional cooling and aerodynamics needed for the Type R. The Si bumper cover that came with your car is the most functional for your car. Aftermarket replicas suck

Sounds like you want a Type R, without the cost of a type R? Or a Sedan/Coupe version of the Type R, which doesn’t exist :dunno:. I’d love to see a Type R in Coupe form, but they wouldn’t sell enough of them. And I don’t want to replace tires/brake pads/rotors annually. And get tickets because I wouldn’t be able to control myself with that power, then watch my insurance skyrocket.

I would think they fit. I imagine the Coupe/Sedan and Civic share common front end components from a crash engineering perspective. It is likely that the fender will not meet the door in a way that looks correct, but its your car. I'd do a google search as your answer is out there!

You wont be able to swap it without a massive work on the body.

The Type R only has 4 seatbelts... They might as well have just made it a coupe or 3 door hatch!

Type R fender will not fit an SI or even the hatchback.
You’re gonna have to get Seibons/stillen fender but it needs the bumper and skirt. Not cheap.
