stock the type r clutch is 1/4 larger around.

I wonder if there are any differences in the friction surface material of the Si vs Type R OEM.

None.

With the increase in size and pressure, the type r clutch could have anywhere from 50-100%+ more holding capacity over the stock clutch. It would be easier to tell if we had exact measurements for the size of the friction surface.

Did they say if they determined the holding capacity of the type r clutch?

So can you only get the Type-R clutch from Eman if you're local to him? How does one get in touch with him? This all seems so mysterious.
Don't have to be local if you can send him your oem si flywheel than it's $925 shipped or if not supply the flywheel than it's an added $500 core fee

I live like 5 mins from his shop he is nothing big, he is just very good at modding civics always had been, he even had fun with a veloster he owned, been on smoking gun twice but he just has a small shop he works out of nothing major, he has he hands full enough with his local work, everyone that likes to mod, knows him in the area and goes to him, pretty cool guy. I always see him at my work, I work at Honda in Oxnard which is where he gets all of his stuff. He told me how complicated it is to do the conversion, but he would do again, it just takes a lot of work

I was hoping it would happen eventually. Now let’s hope that it makes it into production, one way or another.

I do not have one of the modified Type R clutches, but all of the owners I've spoken to do seem to be very happy with the product.

1450 is a fair price... figure 400 for a clutch kit, 400 for a flywheel 150 to modify both to work, and 500 for install. seems it adds up to me.
i think you were defiantly on to something

Plus labor $500-$800 and we are talking a lot of $$$
lol it's about the same as any other clutch/flywheel combo because you got to pay tax too. This is $1025 shipped. Labor shouldn't count because that's just part of installing parts anyways.

I guess you can say it’s on par with other manufacturers cost , but then you have the added downtime having a shop removing the stock clutch flywheel and then you having so ship it. Some places won’t want to keep your car sitting there for a week while waiting for a part. I think it’s a viable option that makes sense if you’re either on the west coast or have a spare flywheel to send out immediately.
