Hell no haha. I knew from searching around the web that Enkei makes 9.5" width so I just called them up and told them what I needed and they were really helpful in finding it for me. The thing about tirerack is you have to sometimes look under different car models to find the unique sizes.
yeah, exactly man, lol. Tire rack just assumes we're all normal people :D but we want the aggressive stuff.

IMO, your setup looks great, love the wheels. I'd keep it on factory suspension :) Once you lower it, it's hard to go back to stock ride height. I'm on spoon (had prokit before)...sometimes I think about just throwing the factory springs back on. Anyway, nice setup man.

I've seen that you switched the Spoon. I really like how your car sits now! What's really appealing is the fact that its progressive springs all around. It's tempting to take the dive into lowering the car, I just wish I could drive an R that has them installed already to get the impressions first. I would hate to think that I'm sacrificing performance for aesthetics.

Nice looking setup. Was eyeing these for my Hatchback. Thanks for taking the plunge! Wish there were more color options.

yeah, honestly, the spoon springs don't feel like they perform better. I have to watch out when I go over bumps still...especially on my wheel setup.

Added to the Boy-Racer look of the car. Painting the sidewall lettering was a PITA! but worth it in the end. This coming weekend will be the first test on these tires. I'm looking to keep the pressure around 33 F/ 35 R to see how they react. I'll progressively drop pressure as needed. Anybody with experience on these tires for autocross feel free to chime in. I'd love to hear what pressures your running.

Took the R to a local autocross event at an abandoned airfield which yielded some dudelove photos but more importantly gave me a chance to test the new wheels. Wow do they grip! From my previous experience with RE's , I set the tire pressure low starting at 33 F and 35 R cold. First run out felt really good, I set the VSA fully off in +R mode and the car felt very manageable. The only hindrance I had was the fact that I did not have enough gearing for the course. The car redlined in 2nd which was what other cars were utilizing so I just kept it in 3rd which took away the power band advantage I had in 2nd. That's one reason why I am not the biggest fan of auto cross. Other reason being... cones. Anyways, tires ran great even with hot lapping with great lateral grip that didn't seem to fade. I did bump down the pressure in the rear to 33 pounds as I actually felt the car over steer a little too much. The bump down in pressure mended the issue. Overall, I am happy with the set up and will keep the equal tire pressure for my next event at Palmer motorsports club. I hope to have some action pictures as people start posting on the event FB page. Also took some pictures of the tires post-event and noticed a rather odd wear profile on the rear tires. I don't think I've seen that before and I am thinking it may have been a result of too much over steer in one run? I'm not sure but I'll slap them on the front and try to wear them down uniformly next time.

Pics of the tires (not the last), this tire was on the rear passenger right?

Thanks, OP, for posting your experience with the TS-V. They look great on your car.

For me, this sits right between the Titan T-S5 and the Motegi MR924. And at 20 lbs each, that’s quite compelling. I think the grey color works on CW too:

I cannot remember but both rear tires had the same wear mirrored. the ripped looking profile was on the outer center, if that makes sense.

Absolutely. I really like how they turned out since I originally thought that the face was going to be too flat. The key is to get the 9.5" width to get that real aggressive look. Storm grey would look great on your CW.

I’d say it’s just camber, and you were really loading up the weight. Which is good, but maybe too much PSI. However if your saying you needed the air, well could be this tire was just overrun for this autox course.

For reference can you post the date stamp of these tires so others can be on the lookout for this compound?

I believe it was the excessive pressure as you pointed out. As I said in my original post, the car oversteered quite a bit until I took out some pressure in the rear. So I didn't need additional air.

Wheels and tires from Tirerack, mounted and balanced.
Tirerack will not sell me the +40 as a mounted wheel/tire package when I mentioned they’re for my CTR. They’ll sell me the rims only without supporting hardware. What car did you say they’re for when you ordered yours?

Ask for Tucker, he's the one who helped me with the package deal. I just told him it was for my CTR too. are you asking for the same tire size? (265/35)

How's the daily drive quality? Does it still feel precise?
Do the wheels poke or are the flush with the fender?
Btw you're right on the tire rack filters. Pull up BMW and more options pop up.
