I finally can confirm that this kit ads less than 1 amp to the headlight circuit. I’ll be adding it to the DRL circuit within the headlight itself. No drilling or external harness needed to power it. It last retained your OEM function for the blinker flashes when lock or unlock are pressed.
The DRL power wire doesn’t have to have power on it to make the blinkers work. This was one of my recent concerns. There are Red, yellow and black wires on the controller. The DRL is one as soon as red and black get power. Because red isn’t powered when the car is off I had thought the blinker function wouldn’t work. I can confirm it does. There is literally no literature for this kit other than how to wire it up. No power requirements listed. Will keep updating once I find the time to start.
