IMO.. if you need this information you should not be driving a manual trans. I never think about what gear I'm in or speed, it's more about how the car feels and how I need the car to respond/perform.

Man, those seem odd. I usually grab 2nd around 12-15, 3rd around 23, 4th around 30-33, 5th at 40-45 and 6th not until 55-60. The car just doesn’t seem to have enough torque below 2k to make 6th at 40 feasible, especially not if you’re climbing any grade whatsoever. Downhill, sure, but climbing? I’m sure they’re right, they’re the engineers, but my butt dyno tells me keeping the revs between 2-3k is the best thing to do 90% of the time. Thanks for posting!
