I got my wheels in today. I have only analyzed two of the wheels but they were flawless. I was pleasantly surprised at how light the wheels are. Can’t wait to mount these.

Great shots. I'm thinking of picking them up for my CW as well, did you go 45 or 35?

Thinking the bronze may be the only ones affected idk but when I spoke with Titan they said it was normal to have the dust spots as they called them. I was amazed at the weight and Build quality just not the paint finish and nicks I received on two of my wheels. Titan was more than happy to offer me a return due to the imperfections that I didn’t come across on my past 3 sets of wheels from Enkei or Wedsport’s. And those sets did cost equal in prices. Not to say Titan is bad at all but maybe quality control can be made to be a bit more attentive. Two of the wheels of the TITAN set did have nics/scratches not just dust spots. I appreciate that Titan did everything he could to try to make it right but $2000 is not something easily to come around lol

so you are seriously returning these for those tiny blemishes? do you even drive your car? if you do, the wheels will have nicks and scratches all over them anyway.
I mean, he can do as he pleases with his car/wheels.

I do agree that they will probably get further damage by just driving with em, thus is the reason i overlooked my imperfections. I also think that consumers deserve a product they paid for at 100% quality, but shit happens, oh well.

thank you and yeah shit happens trust me I was super stoked to get them but also really bummed that any defect/imperfection in paint finish “should be overlooked or named normal” when clearly other sections of the wheel do not have these on them, can u imagine if 80% of the wheel had those on it? Don’t think I would want that after paying 2k if I paid 750 that would be a different story. And yeah nicks and chips can happen after driving but I would understand that would come from me not Brand new out of the box.
question... Would u accept these dust flakes /chips/ nics in the paint of a brand new Civic type R with 0 miles that u paid 40k for ?

And again I’m not saying these are bad wheels as a whole, I’m saying the batch that I got had significant amount of these imperfections in the wheel enough to bother me. The wheel build I’m sure is fine but the finish of this batch was not to my satisfaction enough to want to return them and buy another setup

I’m sorry that your experience with the wheels hasn’t been the greatest. Lugs arrived today and I got the tires mounted and balanced. Also took the afternoon off to clean and ceramic coat the wheels.

I picked up a set of T-S5s for cheap and got them refinished in bronze chrome. Moved from the OEMs to 18s with Continental Extreme Contact 265/35/18 and I'm super happy with the setup. Can rock them all year if I want. I have generic lugs so I'd like to get some better aftermarkets.

Would u consider these defects in workmanship ? on a $2000 wheel set?

No. I wouldn't. Just mount a tire on to them or driving ~100 miles will likely flaw something up anyway. They are forged wheels at a good price and those "marks", aren't imperfections in the wheels, just a surface coating. I didn't even look at mine that close, and won't. If you have too zoom in on a mark, it's a show-queen...imo. I understand wanting your monies worth, but you're paying for the forged aspect outright. Those are not a reason to be concerned.

Call the whahmbulance!
Man that’s so minor! You should take a look at my BBS E88’s on my Pcar makes those look like a gem. I have never heard anyone complain about the micro dust or finish on any E88’s. FWIW my Pcar has one many concours with E88s. I don’t think anyone will care or notice. First track or canyon run and few scrubs and cleaning will make those minor. Mount em and ride on!
