Update:
All - I appreciate the feedback so far. Not looking at 265 as I would like to maintain some of the turn-in feel of narrower tires in the mountains, yet good track performance. I have been hearing good things regarding the 255/40 setup. I would have liked to do 245s but I have been advised they are too narrow for my setup (Titan 7 TS5 18x9.5 ET 45 with stock suspension). So I have settled on 255; however, I need help deciding 255/35 vs 225/40. 40 will have less of a gap and look better on stock suspension. However, I did hear of one one case where a 255/40 rubbed in the rear with 18x9.5 +45 with stock suspension (owner had AD08R tires). I'd like to run Hankook RS4, but I hear they run taller and wider than average (comparing similar tires--e.g., 71Rs). Further, I only see RS4s available at 255/35.

For those who can 255/40 on the track and the canons/mountains, I'd like to hear from you as to whether or not you rubbed on full suspension compression (assuming stock). Let me know what tire make you were running as well.

For those who ran 255/35, share your thoughts as well. I know there will be a speedometer gap as well. Picture would help to see how these fit on stock suspension.

Thanks in advance!

QUOTE="Jinba-Ittai, post: 559064, member: 25785"]I have Titan 7 TS5 18x9.5 +45 on order. I need recommendations on tire sizes I should run, including make/model.
Goals: Track, Mountain driving (Tail of the Dragon/Smoky Mountains...lots of turns and dips with suspension compression), and some street duty (I plan to put OEMs wheels for local driving and the 18s for long trips and track)
Important: Absolutely no rubbing. No additional torque steer and maintaining the sharp handling dynamics.
Suspension: 100% stock
Tires I am exploring: Hankook R-S4 or Advan A052. 245/40? or 255 (40 or 35?). I leaning toward the the R-S4 due to tire life and durability. However, I hear they run wider? Thank you!
You shouldn't have any issues even up to 265/35 with that offset.
you should have no issues with 265/35s on a 9.5 +45 ESPECIALLY on stock suspension.
CIALLY on stock suspension.
All - I have posted this not the wheel guide section stickie, but would like to her from Titan7 owners:

Ctrmofo has titan 7-ts5’s and is running 245/40/18’s and said there was room to play

The guy who rubbed had a 44 offset and not these wheels, I don’t remember the tires he had but someone got a hold of him and posted the details in the tire/wheel mega thread.

I have a set on order (titan7-ts5)
I called them and was told that their next stock batch should be coming in around June

I also have 255/40/18 Continental Extreme Contact coming in today but those are on 18” wheels at 8.5 +46 offset for my winter set until the totan7’s get here.

Thanks. The guy who rubbed was wrapped on AD08Rs, which are known to run wider. Further, there has to be more to that story as there are no other reports of rubbing on stock suspension with 255/40 on 18x95 ET45. I ended up ordering 255/35 since I want Hankooks RS4s, which are not offered in a 255/40. I will try 255/40 or 265/35 on my next set. TS5 are the way to go.

Jeebus man... this pic convinced me to get PMM and bronze wheels. Such a looker!

Did you go for the T-R10s over the T-S5s for purely aesthetic reasons? Seems like the 18x9.5 10 is little over 1/lbs heavier than the 5. Is the 10 stronger?

Last set of pics, I swear, lol

I actually wanted the 5s but they weren't in stock. I recently sold my titans and will be going with a different setup soon

Ha! This is too much... I've been looking at Desmond & Spoon myself. Seems like Desmonds won't ship until September? I like the white ones but there's already a PMM with white Desmonds locally. Spoons are an 8 - 10 week wait and crazy expensive... I think I'll stick with bronze T-S5s for the time being. Now I just have to lock down the deal for that '19 PMM!

This setup rubs in the rear on big dips. Will have to cut and roll rear fenders to eliminate rub. I’ll post better pictures when the weather gets better. Please excuse the dirty car
