I received a decent quote for Lumar ceramic tint, I liked the heat rejection properties and will be getting the sides and rear done for 299 CDN. I asked of the sunroof panel, (my hair is "thinner" up top, maybe the same benefit can be applied to the sunroof panel)

Can the sunroof be tinted? They said it would be an extra 125 if they can, so it may not be worth it.

Tint the windshield (use the lightest tint) for maximum heat rejection. I also tint the sunroof (darkest tint) for maximum comfort in the summer. IMHO, tinting is only worth it if you’re keeping the car for 5 years or more.

I'm keeping the car for more than 5 years, they have been in business for 40 years, and have a lifetime warranty on any of their work and detailing.
They will not apply tint to the windshield

Ben,
Tint the roof glass if you want, but $125 sounds like a lot of $$ for that little piece of glass. I was too cheap to do it on my Civic when I had the tints done. I just close the shade.

I did the sunroof panel on my ‘88 Mustang GT back in the day and it saved my bald dome from getting burnt many times.

I've tinted flat panel glass before on my own, I'll simply ask if they want to sell me the raw stock. I'm more than willing to try on my own - it can't cost much.

You can get clear uv protectant tint for the windshield. Cuts alot of heat out of the cars. No cheap but a few places near me do it.

It might be illegal to tint the front windshield where you are. It’s illegal in Arizona unless you go to the DMV and get an exemption slip. But to get that you have to jump through a bunch of hoops

It sorta is, we can apply tint to the front windshield along the colour band at the top. (A 15 cm strip at the top)

I told them I'd get the whole car doe if they changed their quote for the sunroof.
on Monday, Jan 13th, they are putting ceramic on all, (30% except the front door windows at 50%, and 5% on the sunroof)
I sat in a car with metallic tint, my cell phone doesn't work in it - they guarantee the ceramic tint won't have an affect on my cell phone

I got my car back yesterday, 50% on the fronts, 20% on the rear doors and back window and 5% on the sunroof.
it's almost 20 degrees below zero, they told me it will take a week for all the moisture to come out.
I like it.
