Has anyone done this theirself yet?
I was just wondering the procedure. I did it to my 97 tercel with no issues but that car didn't have a relearn procedure.
They recomend it at 15000, and I'm almost to that point.

I'll follow the post to learn,

Never heard about that , never done on any of the family cars and we keep many of them 11 to 16 year with 130,000 miles

Can you drop the link for the service and maintenance schedule
I don't have it saved. It is probably in the manual that came with your vehicle, and definitely on the Honda website if you look around a bit.

I looked through my whole manual and online ,including Honda's site, couldn't find anything. I asked the service manager at a different dealer and he said Honda doesn't recommend even doing it on this car. He said then other dealer was most likely just selling that as an add on service for older civics, but not for the new ones.

Thank you. I found a shopkey app at my buddys dealer. We typed in my vin and the service schedule doesn't go by milage. It goes by service A or B and C, so on. If you guys know by what milage our services are required please update. Thanks again glitch.

Like you... I've done it on older cars. With newer cars, I do spray clean the MAF sensors when I reoil my filters, about annually. The Z has 2 MAFs so I want to make sure they're both equal[ly clean].

I've polished throttle plates before on small engines... but never fooled with a cars.

IMO, it isn't something I'd do for quite a while. It's something I've done on cars I got used... or for family members who had older cars I was going through and doing a general tune up/all fluid change.

I think it was Valvoline, has or used to have, an intake cleaning procedure, not just for the throttle body but manifold, valves, ect. They'd plug into a vacuum hose in the air intake tract and drip a liquid in while the car idled. This may not be a bad idea, especially on the valves and being direct injection at some point. Just throwing the info out there tho. I'd do more research first. Thanks for making me think of it

I’ve only ever cleaned a throttle body or MAF sensor when there’s a driveability issue or a CEL.
Unnecessary otherwise.
