There’s no way that Type R has 371 hp. Also the driver must be a completely clueless. On the third beep you press on the gas pedal. Lol

The guy is a local troll and sand bagger, I’m sure he has more mods than he claims. Also unsure whether the Type R was brake boosting like the RS. Not making excuses for the Type R but I think the RS has more mods and the better driver by far.

The car with the better power to weight ratio will pretty much always win in rolling drag races. This is a test of who has done more work under the hood and not a comparison of car models. Misleading is an understatement.

Fully modded with E30 tune vs canned tune (If that is even true) is all you need to know here. Apples and oranges, and a shitty video at that.

Where I live the dealers can't give the RS away, 2017s still on the lot. Goes along with all the articles I've read about the car.

Looked at the video and found out a couple of things from the comments.
    1. RS Guy is not a troll (in the video at least) because in the comments he even replies to people's comments saying the "Type R is an awesome car", trolls do not say such things.
    2. More insult to injury is The RS had a passenger in it while the Type R did not, which leads me to believe that the RS is making a shit ton more power than the R probably.
    3. The R DOES HAVE 371 WHP, he links to an instagram account in the video of the exact Type R being tuned and the owner saying it has 371 WHP ()
    4. Seems like a perfectly fair race overall from all the proof presented, Type R was making 371 WHP and the Focus was simply faster which is no surprise because it already comes from factory with a decent amount more power so tuning it with some bolt ons would probably kill the CTR in a straight line, hate to say it but the CTR simply just lost and the RS won.

    A cookie.

And the self assurance that the mods he put on his car pushed it further than the CTR.

After seeing Tune+ and WGA on the mod list of the RS I concluded that the CTR has no chance.

Sorry to burst a bubble here but the RS with that tune is a "BEAST". It walks away on roll races from camaro SS, new mustang 5.0 and Dodge cars with the 392. Currently a modded CTR has trouble against those cars.

Check out SGTR youtube channel there are a few RS with that tune doing amazing runs.

For me, the driving experience extends well beyond just being the fastest. The r might not be the fastest but I think it offers the most compelling package for the price point. Good for rs owners making big power though.

The R has only been out for what 8-9 months? The tuning solutions right now aren't any where near maxing it's potential, heck there aren't any R's yet that can come close to hanging with a fully tuned SI. The RS has been out for three years and this one has all the bolt on's with an ethanol tune. It's probably be a good race against a maxed out SI, then who would be embarrassed?
