Could I simply switch the left and rights so that they face the other direction?

Actually just realized tires have one way thread so I'm not sure now.

I think the pattern on the rims both "swirl" the same way so no difference.
They would be flipped/mirrored I believe. Imagine taking all four off even the tires and if you laid them on the floor.

Oh wait a minute you're totally right! I didn't realize one side faces one way and the other side faces the other. So weird that they'd do that.

It's easier if you watch a video. The right side will have them face forward and vice versa.

Standard I think, otherwise you would have to order left and right rims just like directional tires.

This may exist in higher end products but I'm not sure.

Ya best bet is to lay all 4 rims out and see what they look like. Honda has done this in the past. My girlfriend has these exr accord rims on her accord and last year I made the mistake by installing the wrong side ones. Looked like this. Same rims, different car.
BTW
Back is correct
Front is wrong

@madroxinide yes. And that way is best for mpg, if you think about how the wheels cut through the wind while going forward. If they were the other way, the chunky side (black) opposite the smooth edge (silver) would hit the wind causing a lot of turbulence I bet.

That's the thing - they ARE on the other way on the other side of the car. Which is what's really weird

Left and right side wheel pics....never noticed that they faced opposite directions on...they all face the same direction off but should instead be mirrored....
