Great news for us 10th gen Si owners. To be recognized as such by one of the top car magazines in the world, and deservingly so. Great value, great driving dynamics and driver feed back, quick, sporty, but also calm and composed. But it isn't perfect. As MT stated, the clutch engagement leaves alot to be desired, rev hang can be a nuisance, and sometimes I wish it had a little more "sauce" to stand out from the other "regular" civics. All in all, the heads up from a magazine like Motortrend proves what we as owners already know, this is an exceptional vehicle that can't be beat as an overall package in its segment.

Thank you Motor Trend for nominating our car, and spending time talking about it. We, the owners, bought it to fill the need it was designed to fill. On the other hand, being the enthusiast magazine that you are. I wasn't surprised to read your final thoughts.

"Performance of Intended Function? Sort of. Engineering Excellence and Advancement in Design? Not really. The Civic Type R. Now that’s where the accolades belong, and that’s why it advanced and the Si did not."

Maybe if Honda released a factory tune that gave the Si another 25hp, it would get more respect.
