You mean it's actually built to last? The Civic has an unfair advantage over all the other small cars
I see at least 3 unique newer Civics per minute whenever I go out on the road. In the compact car segment, they way out sell the newer Toyota Corollas, although there are probably just as many older model Corollas on the road. I suspect Corollas recent price increases, plus Toyotas reluctance to go the turbo charged route may be the reasonHere's some crazy numbers.
Civic sales alone are nearly equal to sales of the entire Audi model lineup. More Civics are sold than the combined total of every Mitsubishi and Porsche model in the US.
Which is strange since in the 80s Toyota had a turbocharger almost in every car including the truck ( my friend had one) and a supercharged MR2 also the Supra. And more auto manufacturers are going turbo look how long it took Honda to go turboI see at least 3 unique newer Civics per minute whenever I go out on the road. True I’m assuming the 5 doors are station wagons in the 70s and 80s also in the 50s and 60s they had 2 &4 door wagons but today the hatchback kind of replaced the wagon in the compact car modelsI think it's cool Honda is keeping the idea alive of being able to have one car in multiple body styles and distinct trims with the Civic. It seems like back in the 70s and 80s a lot of cars were available as 2-, 4-, and 5-door body-styles, with multiple engine and transmission options. But nowadays every automaker just has 5 SUVs for sale each with different names but only really differ by an inch in length.
Is the Civic the car model with the most variability now?
