For a while I've always felt that the tach doesn't quite match the engine rpm when it is free falling, and I would notice this especially when I overshoot a rev match and shift based on the tach instead of the engine sound after waiting for the rpms to fall a bit. I remember reading that tunerview has a pretty decent refresh rate for its information, so yesterday I set one of the tunerview gauges to the tach and what do you know, the rpms drop much faster whereas the car's tach needle almost floats and hesitates while dropping.
Has anyone else experienced this, is it a known issue or is it time for a dealership visit?
