Since the weather is warming up slowly, I have begun to look for another pair of summer tires so that I can go back to unneutered performance. I’m not sure when I will install them - maybe in a few weeks if the temperatures can at least stay in the mid 50s/60s with lows in the upper 30s - but I figured it’s a good time to begin looking for them.

I am almost certainly going to go with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s with the OEM 20s, as I’ve read nothing but praise about those tires. I don’t know if I should return to the OEM 30 profile or keep some extra sidewall with 35. I’ve gotten used to the speedometer difference and I think I’ve been saved by that extra bit of sidewall.

What about you guys?

I am still on the original Continentals but have heard nothing but positive feedback of other locals with Rs running the Michelins in size 255/35/20

In my opinion, saving your tire from explosion after hitting a minor pothole and needing to buy a new rim is worth the teeny bit the speedometer will be off.

My OEM tires are about to be worn out and I'm seeking for new tires. With the OEM rims, is it OK to go for something like 245/35/r20, 255/35/r20 or 255/30/r20? The OEM 30 series really sucks and it's hard to find tires.
Btw, re71r is available for 245/35/r20.

This is why I bought the wheel and tire package...I just know I am going to wreck something at some point
