It just sticks on over the top of the factory chrome emblem. The red emblem has a groove around the edge on the inside to fit this.
For badges you need the ones for the coupe/sedan as the hatchback are different. I believe if you get the ones for the hatchback they are smaller or something so they won't sit inside the grille flush. Here is mine for example. Watch out for fake badges as well. If they are cheap they are probably shit. Mine were around 120 dollars I believe, honda packaging, foam on the pins for shipping, non branded dark red 2 sided tape (not 3m branded). Pins on the back actually fit on the car etc.

Sadly I don’t think these are the real deal either. The FK8 emblems are made in Thailand, and the back of the emblems look like these.
