So im just wondering as i'm new to this, is it safe to run a stage 2 tune on a stock car or is there upgrades (I assume a clutch) that are required to run a stage 2 tune reliably.

The included tunes have been proven safe. The clutch life will depend on your driving and the clutch you happened to get. Seems some get ones that last and some die even on factory tune.

I run something more than the Stage 2 with a turbo/CVT and it's great.

I see you have the 2.0 engine though. There is no Stage 2 for your car. The good news is KTuner does offer a tune for you that will make a big difference.
