Spare Tire Kit ...

I would think that a "Spare Tire Kit" would actually include the spare tire ... not just the rim!

Anyone else ever had this happen?

EDIT: Product number in the photos fits the Sedans, not the Coupe that I have. Product Number for the Coupe Spare Tire Kit appears to be 06421-TBJ-A10ZA. I hope that this helps anyone trying to get the correct Spare Tire Kit.

The Honda Spare wheel Kit NOT containing a Tire makes perfect sense to me.

You get the Kit that does not Force a given spare tire into you, and then YOU decide what tire you want to get.:- what quality and what price.

Personally, I decided on a Performance Spare tire, so that I could continue to drive the car with little performance restrictions , for as long as I wanted to, without having to rush and get the flat repaired, (or more likely, and new tire fitted.)

The only restriction I have (which is what I would have with any spare, unless it was an exact match to the current rims & tires), is that I should maintain a matched pair of the original wheels on the front, in order not to put unnecessary continuous stress on the LSD.

But anything is better than the stupid Inflation kit that comes with the car, or being reliant on, and waiting on, Honda Assist or AAA, when miles from anywhere.

Bruh you literally included the picture of the DIAGRAM of what you bought. And it CLEARLY shows no spare tire included...

And you would have also though that a SUITECASE would come with a SUITE in it ??

The reason why the Spare Tire Kit does not contain a TIRE has been easily explained.. why is there still an issue ??

I don't have an issue and it would be nice if a suitcase came with a suit

This is why I have aftermarket rims for winter and just carry my winter tire as a spare, will keep me from having to get towed again!

Yes, but what are the chances that that included suit would fit you, and be one that you liked to have !!

If it came with a SUIT you did not like, or did not fit you, you would have spent extra money on a suit that was of no use to you.

Why would anyone care what kind of tire is on a spare? I wouldnt drive on a spare any further than to make it to a shop to get tire plugged.... So for all intensive purposes I believe the original OP thought that at the price he paid he should have gotten a tire with it... I tend to agree at that price it should include a tire, at best I guess OP could have asked before ordering as with that price he could have gotten himself a full size spare which includes a tire!

paying $100 for towing definitely sucks, any tire would have been fine on that day rofl. On a side note I thought all spare tires have rim and tire, I always looked at it as a throw away and one would purchase a new donut rim/tire when needed ‍

You could do that I suppose - so many options and so many choices, I can understand why it might be difficult to decide what direction to take

Which models do not come with a spare? My 2018 EX-L sedan came with a compact spare. And obviously a spare fits in the coupe do why not include it too?

(1) Weight - spare + jack is heavier than the Inflation Kit
(2) Cost - Inflation kit is cheaper than the Spare + Jack
