[Solved] 2018 Hatchback Sport Auto On Off Headlight not working (headlights don't turn on when dark)

My civic is not responding the light changes when the headlight setting is AUTO, never turning on the headlights when it gets dark. The other settings work fine - off, always on, and drl only. Also in AUTO, headlights do not turn on automatically when wipers are turned on for a couple of minutes.

Does anyone have a similar problem of auto not working anymore? Here is picture of the sensor, I don't know the OEM or compatible part #:

EDIT: went to dealership and the sensor was faulty, got it fixed under warranty, the part # is 39860TVAA01.
