Hey everyone!

I am shopping for a Touring sedan in Cosmic Blue Metallic. Here is what I got so far.

  • What the Car costs Used this:
http://www.civicx.com/threads/official-2016-honda-civic-pricing-invoice-retail-revealed.412/

Car notes: 4D 1.5T L4 Touring Continuously variable Transmission PZEV

Dealer Invoice: $24,608.70
Suggested Retail: 26,500.00

Honda Website: http://automobiles.honda.com/civic-sedan/price.aspx
MRSP: 26,500
  • Here is what True Car Gave me and what true car gave me using my bank they are partnered with in two different zip codes.

True Car:

Using Riverside zip code 92503 -

True Car Estimate: 24,398
Factory invoice: 25,690
Average Paid: $26,569
MRSP: 27,335

BANK true car member price:

True Car Estimate: 24,090 (corona only) Good til 4/4

Using Santa Barbara zip code 93117:

True Car Estimate: 25,748
Factory invoice: 25690
Average Paid: $26,653
MRSP: 27,335
  • Kelly Blue book
KBB:

Fair Market Range: 28324-30409
MRSP: $31232

93117 -

Invoice: 25443
Fair Market Range: 28683-30794
MRSP: $31232

Tax: $2,860
  • Here are the quotes I got after contacting dealerships:
1. Spreen honda

Price: 22427
Addon: 1495
Destination: 835

Total: 24757 + tax (2600?)

OTD: ~27357

2. Corona

Price: 24089
Add on: 995 + 895 (mud flap, locks, cargo tray)
Total: 25979 + Tax (2600?)
OTD: ~28579

Note: dealer said they would take off the 895$ if I take another color.

3. Santa Barbara

Price: 26580
Addon: none
Total26580 + tax (2400?)
OTD: ~28980
What I want to pay OTD is $26500. Or as close to that as possible. I read a post from someone who said they got a touring for:

26717 otd @ Gardena Honda

Here are my questions:

  • Is the OTD price I want even possible? I have seen threads where people bought there car for 23k for example but that is not in the state of California.
  • If what I want is not reasonable. What number should I be shooting for?
  • Another issue is the color that I want seems to be sold out every where. Do they make the touring in cosmic blue? Sales men I spoke to said that this color may be limited edition.
  • Knowing that the Type R is coming out soon. Can I use that to my advantage? If so how?
  • Memorial day is about 2 months away. Should I just wait until then? To try?
  • Is it easier to get the car you want if you buy in a group?
I hope this helps someone on getting there car. If you can help me in anyway I would appreciate it.

Did you ever go in and get a quote? I'm running numbers in SD and I keep coming out at $28.6k OTD. I haven't gone and talked to the dealer yet, but going to later this week.
