should i be worried about rust?

I found a small, 1-2cm, deep scratch on the hood of my car. Deep enough to see the white layer of the paint. Should i be worried about rust? I live in Pacific NW, I park outside, and we get lots of rain.

yeah i'd say that'd be a bit of a concern. seems deep enough that you probably should consider patching it. i've had small paint chips from road debris start showing some signs of rust around the edges
