Not sure if it has been asked.
I am thinking to upgrade the shifter to either hybrid racing or acuity short shifter.

Which one should i go with?

I have the Acuity short shifter and it's a bloody decent piece of kit.
Historically hybrid have been doing them for a long time so know their stuff.
From my personal experience in the FK8, Acuity one ticks all the boxes

I can't say anything about the Hybrid part but I can tell you the ACUITY shifter is very impressive.

You may want to try just upgrading the bushings first...I have had several people who track their CTRs tell me they wish they had kept the stock shifter for DD, but it depends on what your main use is for the car I suppose. I just ordered all the bushings from Hybrid Racing at a discount they have going on right now, going to see how it goes. I don't personally need it to be any shorter...I have made that mistake on my Evos before. I had the TWM cage on my X and loved it at first, then it became a nuisance for DD.

The same week I ordered the Acuity full shifter kit and replacement bushings, Hybrid released their kit, lol.

Was hesitant pulling the trigger on the Acuity, but am very glad to finally do so. A game changer for my driving experience. Easily one of my favorite mods so far.

Looking forward to reading Tim818ā€™s feedback, but I donā€™t think you really can go wrong with either shifter option.

I believe the Acuity may have an adjustment or 2 the Hybrid doesnā€™t have.

Not sure if it has been asked.

I have both, neither is better than the other. The Acuity while stiffer feels more "racecar" and has more adjustability. It also feels a bit more premium in it's build and hardware provided. The Hybrid offers a solid shifter that is very comfortable to daily and comes at a cheaper price. If you like heavy knobs the hybrid feels a little sloppier than I would like though, but it's is easier to live with when your lazily shifting putting around town.
