Does anyone know why I can’t get my knob to be in the right position? I don’t know how to explain it so here’s a picture.

Drop the shift boot by pulling it down. Take a 14mm open end wrench to loosen the shift knob it while also turning the shift knob in opposite direction. The shift knob will now freely spin to straighten it out. Now tighten the nut to the knob to lock it into place.

I tried, that’s as far as it goes. I even unscrewed it completely and screwed back same result.

Thanks I’ll try that.

There is a video (link is somewhere in the forums if you search) about changing the shift knob. Just follow those instructions but obviously don't replace it, lol. I'm not all that handy but I was able to do it in a few minutes thanks to the video.
