Drove car to store, no problem. Came out a few minutes later, started car, backed out of parking space, put in first gear to pull away glanced at screen to change radio station. Screen was blank other than a big silver "H" in the middle of the screen. Pulled over shut off car waited a few seconds and restarted. Screen went though normal boot up but I noticed when main screen appeared the time was way off. Within several seconds the time popped back to the correct time. Other than screen weirdness car seemed normal. Is this unusual? Or is it like Microsoft used to say: "It's not a glitch it's a feature!"?

It is unusual and the headunit probably crashed which made the time go off for a few seconds until it went back to regular. Nothing to worry about. It's kind of like with a smartphone when it crashes and it reboots itself on it's own to fix it. No big deal.

As long as it doesn't keep happening you'll be fine. The device had a fatal crash that forced it to restart, it happens. But if it happens over and over, then I'd look at brining it in to have it looked at.
