Noticed there are a lot of people asking about exhaust sounds. Dont't think theres anyone else running this kind of setup. I love how the exhaust sounds. Yes, it is loud and there is some kind of drone on the freeway but its nothing not managable. Havent ran into any trouble with police (*knock on wood*) but then again I am not reving the crap out of my engine at every light. The only time it gets unbareabley loud is during cold starts but once the engine has heated up and is idling, its perfect.

What are the new laws? lol

EDIT: Just did a search... is it this one youre talking about?

"Fines for loud mufflers: AB 1824, sponsored by the Assembly Committee on Budget. This law mandates a fine for vehicles and motorcycles with “modified or excessively loud exhaust or muffler systems.” Previously, violators could avoid the fine if they corrected the problem."

Atleast they extended the smog check from 6 years to 8 years. I remember driving my old RX-7 FC that has a full catback exhaust and there was a time where I was pulled over twice in one week for having a loud exhaust. That was back in 2016 and I explained to both officers that the car came with this exhaust and its rare to find stock exhaust systems for this car. Got let go both times with no tickets. Worst comes to worst, i'll just pull the whole, " I'm from Texas and the only reason I am in CA is cause of the military." and hopefully they take that into consideration.

Lol they'll just check your registration and what not. But yeah 8 year smog exempt is nice. Also of course RX-7 is pretty loud because of the rotary engines. Another thing they will probably do if pulled over for a loud engine is ask to see your engine because they can now pull over people if they think their car's modified.
