RIVAL Zupra - Up Close!!

New Gazoo Racing Garage opened today! I had a chance to go to the Grand Opening. Not really a fan of Toyota but I wanted to see the rival Zupra up close. Unfortunately, we were not able to test drive it today but hopefully in the near future. Got some really good shots today.

This car has a major blind spot. The rear window is very narrow.

Meh, I liked the last body style more + no manual transmission makes it a double nope for me.

I don't know. For whatever reason, the more pictures I see of the car... the less excited I get... and I was never that excited to start with. I was just more happy that Toyota was trying out another sporty car beyond the '86 and since the demise of the Celica.

I still think they would have done better to stick a turbocharged variant in that '86, upgraded it's suspension and brakes with some interior touches and called it a Supra trim like they did with the Celica in the 70s through the early 80s. I guess it works as their halo car, if nothing else.

I think they did the advertising backwards on this car. They advertised it as a Toyota car with BMW influence and called it a supra, when they should have advertised it as a BMW with Toyota influence and called it a new z4.

Reminds me of my tiburon the same blind spot .the civic coupe doesn’t have a bad blind spot

They could of least changed the BMW gear selector

I think the main issue here is that Toyota didn't do much to disguise the fact that it's BMW origins. Even small stuff like changing the shifter, infotainment and gauges would have went a long way. I personally dont have an issue with them partnering with BMW though since the inline 6 is their bread and butter anyway. I think the Supra looks good, but to me the biggest fail is not offering a manual, especially on a car for enthusiasts.

It’s definitely more exciting than the Toyota Sequoia.

The whole engine bay is pretty much BMWs design with a toyota badged cover, down the strut tower design is BMWs stuff...

Yeah, I'm in agreement with most of the comments here, the new Supra is kind of boring when you consider how much BMW was involved.

Saw the new Z4 a couple of nights back and it looked amazing. Can't wait to see this Supra on the road
