Looks like they make TE37's in 19s, anywhere between 8-11 wide. 5x120 right?
Edit: And WedsSport FT-117 in 20's between 8.5 and 10! mmm forged.

I was thinking more like 15 or 16 in. RPF1s, maybe slightly cheaper.

JDM ITR had 16 in. wheels! Why 20 in. Honda? I don't get it.

Current FK2R uses 5x120 19x8.5 +60 on 235/35/19.

I'm going to guess the FK8R will be very similar. Most likely 20x8.5 +60 on 245/30/20.

For winter, I'd go with 225/45/18 with 18x8 wheels.

Guess I'll stay with the rims for a while.
But for winter, i'' go for some Sparco Asetto Gara Black.

I have them as 18" on my Cr-Z today, and they are amazing! Here is a picture from the internetz...

Just spent a good part of the evening looking for 19" wheel options with a 120x5 bolt pattern and high offsets. They may not so easy to find. :(

Will +45 offset work? That is like the highest I'm seeing? Dumb question I know. I'm a wheel newb.

Very hard to get good pictures of the black rims with my cellphone, but you'll get an idea how it is on a white car.

Hard to say until we get some more specs on the car and some of the wheel distributors have a good look at how much clearance they have to work with. If the new factory OEM wheels have an offset of 60mm then 45 offsets will push the tire out 1.5 cms further towards inside of the exterior fender. A higher offset actually sets the wheel in closer toward the center of a car which seems to be backward from what you would expect when you first learn about offset.

Here is a very good wheel offset calculator that allows you to compare the factory spec wheels beside whatever wheel option specs you are looking at -> https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/

By they way, what rims did you find with a +45 offset (ET45) ?

Honda has a long history with using Enkei MAT wheels for the factory original equipment wheels. -Very solid choice for a factory wheel.
OK, for those looking for a 19" (or maybe an 18" wheel option) I just took a quick look at the Enkei website and there may be some possibilities but the 5 bolt by 120mm pattern and high factory offset (if it's ET60 or +60) sure might limit the possibles.

Depending on final wheel specs, brake clearance, and inner fender clearance here are some possibles Enkei have.
NOTE that brake clearance may become an issue for any of the 18" wheels listed. Just not sure yet until we get further specs and some of the wheel distributors have a better look at the car.

Possible Enkei wheels (?):

Name, Dia x Width, Offset

Raijin 19x8.5 +38 or 18x8.5 +38
RSM9 19x8.5 +42
TSP6 18x8.5 +35
TX5 18x8.5 +35
TY-5 19x8.5 +38 or 18x8.5 +38
GTC01 RR 18x8.5 +35

The following Enkei wheels only come 8.0-inch widths with a maximum recommended tire width of 235mm versus the wider new OEM tire at 245mm wide. However, not quite as much offset would be needed for a slightly narrower rim (1/2 of 0.5 inches):

TS6 18x8.0 +42
VR5 18x8.0 +42
YS5 18x8.0 +42
SS05 18x8.0 +40

Do we know stock rim width? I would imagine it's 20x9? If this is the case, I would hate to downsize width. Enkei's are a great wheel, I have a set of nt03+m's in 18x10.5, nice and light, reliable too. I hope they release something classic that fits the new bolt pattern.

As per post 5 above I copied one of ayau's post from somewhere else in this forum.
He stated:
"Current FK2R uses 5x120 19x8.5 +60 on 235/35/19.
I'm going to guess the FK8R will be very similar. Most likely 20x8.5 +60 on 245/30/20."

Bottom line is we don't know for certain yet but 20x8.5 +60 seems pretty reasonable. I have a couple of Acura TSX's (dressed up euro Honda Accords) and they both have a +55 offset.

I hope a few manufacturers will release some new options once the Type R comes out. The reality is though, that there will not be that many Type Rs on the road as wheel manufacturers would likely want as a potential market before paying to create a new mood to provide a different offset or bolt pattern even for existing wheel styles.

I also know that I'm getting ahead of myself a bit here, as we don't know have the final specs on the wheels. I just can't help - I love looking at the possible options. :p:D
