I’ve been reading about these raptor tires and want I’ve read and watched you tube reviews on them have been positive. I live in south west Florida where in the summer it’s hot and rainy the winter time if it gets cold it doesn’t get below 40. I’ve read these tires are good in wet weather and handle very well for the price. Has anyone on this site had them and are their a good tire? Or is it a waste of money and spend a little more for a better tire. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated
BTW the civics I read the reviews with the raptors on where older generations 8 th and 9 th

I had them on my LX, 235/45 17s, they are loud and very uncomfortable, rain was ok, but didn't have a chance to try in California "winter", but hey they are cheap af :)
And I think they were even less stickier than my OEM 16s... honestly, I would never buy them again, just not worth it

Opposite experience from this post ^^^

I bought the setup in my signature 15k ago. Autox'd with them etc. They are awesome for the price. ZERO complaints for a tire that was 57$ a piece for me. I have even driven through cincinnati winter with them. They handle great and hook up just fine and 100% better than the all seasons. Road noise is the only down side and even that wasnt a problem until I didnt rotate them for 10k miles.

Assuming that tire rack is the best deal? My oem tires are starting to show wear at 25,000 but that’s the Florida roads and I rotated them at 5k

I ordered mine bundled with the traklites and it was the best deal from a reputable supplier I found. Riken is a subdivision/ economy of michelin from my research

I had a great time with my Riken Raptors on my 13 Si and 16 EXT. However I had the 215/45/17 Riken Raptor ZR which are the UHP version. I know they have an all season A/S which I cant speak to but the ZR are good tires and they last. I purchased these when my 13 Si's Michelin Super Sport tires went off around 15k worth of spirited driving. The lateral grip difference was minimal and very predictable compared to the SS. They had plenty of tread left when I got my FK8. I even went on Riken website to see if they made some to fit my FK8. Yes it did make road noise but for the lateral grip and price I was hooked how cheap they were.

Thank you @PowerPerLiter and @EFEM1FB6FK8 this is making me feel good. I have a summer non-oe rim set and a set of tiny winter tires. It was 70 yesterday and will be 25 in a night or two. These Raptors are so inexpensive I figured, they sell em as UHP A/S and I could wrap the car twice for the cost of replacing the original tires. I had hoped for grip and wet handling. Did these tires break-in any quicker/slower than a typical tire? Do they wear consistently?

The tread pattern looks very functional for wet roads that’s my main concern especially for Florida’s rains in the summer
