Sorry, the title is a mouthful but I want to install a rocker switch on the blank buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. On my Si they're pretty much all blank. Does anyone have tips on how to remove the garnish and access those buttons so I can drill a hole in it? I'm afraid of breaking a screw or clip if I just yank on it.

Basically trying to pull out part #8 and drilling a hole in part #7

Thanks a ton, brother! Do you know if there's a specific way to remove the fasters (E&F) or should I just tug on it at those locations?

You literally just grab it from the bottom and give it a tug... Fast forward to around 26 minutes in this video.
