Rear Bumper Center Garnish Removal

Hi all,

Specifically pertaining to 2017 Civic Sport Hatchback models, I was just wondering if anyone has ever removed the rear bumper center garnish piece, the black glossy plastic bumper part... it's #8 on the attached diagram image. I'm looking to replace it but not too sure how easily it comes off/can be put back on or in this case, replaced. Any insight would be appreciated!

I've done this. IIRC once you remove the entire rear bumper, which is not difficult, it'll come off. Everything back there is held on by clips. I did this more than a year ago so I'm not 100% sure but it should come off.
