Just got a 2020 Civic LX Sedan. This is my 6th Civic (1987 2-door hatch, 1996 2-door hatch, 2004 Sedan, 2005 Sedan, 2015 Sedan and now a 2020 LX Sedan). I've always been a Honda guy!

It's also the 3rd Civic where I've had Thule roof racks installed. My 2015 roof rack was not compatible with the 2020, so I recently got a new setup for the 2020.

I knew I would be getting a Thule solution, as I've always been loyal to the brand. Thule has always had very high quality, great fit, and good looks.

The 2020 Civic needs 3 base components (all prices in Canadian dollars):
  1. Load carrier (feet): I chose the Thule Evo Clamp roof rack system (part: 710501) which is $269.95
  2. Thule Evo fit kit (part: 5066) which is $139.95
  3. Thule Wingbar 135 at $279.95 or Squarebar 135 at $139.95
  4. OPTIONAL: 4 core locks: $74.95
I went with the Squarebar as I had some accessories from previous cars that didn't fit on the new aerodynamic Wingbar. Plus, it's $140 cheaper.

What I really wanted to share, was that the Thule Evo Clamp load carrier is listed on Amazon (Canada) for $269.95 CAD. I found that the European version of this part (part: 710500) includes the $75 locks, and is waaaaaay cheaper: $95 USD on Amazon.com. Even with the exchange rate, import fees and shipping (free Prime shipping from Spain to Canada as I'm a Prime member), the cost savings was significant!

Thule 710501 plus locks: $344.95 CAD
Thule 710500 includes locks: $93.01 USD ($123.75 CAD)

That's over a $220 CAD savings for the same part!

Anyhow, I just wanted to share this in case people didn't know. I've attached a few pics of it installed (Excuse my winter tires on steel rims).

As expected, it works great. I had the Atlantis 1600 roof top box for over a year now, and it's been great. Fits perfect on this new setup.

Cheers!

That's right. You'll need the 2 items you listed, PLUS Thule Evo Clamp kit.

Then you'll be ready to add any roof mounted accessories you wish (storage boxes, bike racks, baskets, etc.)

$119 for a Thule Wingbar set is unbelievable. I can't seem to find this on Amazon, care to share a link? I'd consider swapping my squarebar set for these at that price! :)

These boxes seem great especially if you go shopping and don't like to put the bags inside of the car.
Why wouldn't you put your shopping bags in the car? All I see is drag lol.

I use it mainly to go to and from when snowboarding and to the lake. It's much more fuel efficient than my Nissan Pathfinder. I find I use the Pathfinder only when my wife has the Civic, and if I need it to tow.

Just curious, what do you put in there? You have a trunk....... I always wonder what people put in there that's all. I jus came back from the 6! I was like everyone is riding on steelies.

For myself, my kids snowboard like 3-4 times a week (my daughter is a coach), so 2 snowboard gear for her and often 1-2 other kids to and from the hill is the main reason. They're too long to fit in the trunk without putting the seats down, and the back seats are often used for passengers.

Also, hockey bags. If I'm carpooling with more than 2 kids, a 3rd bag and the sticks fit up there too.

Finally, travelling to and from the lake on weekends in the summer hold a TON of stuff. Coolers, storage totes, boots, odd sized items, luggage etc... The trunk fills up quick and it's just a convenient solution. The box comes on and off in like 30 secs, so it's no biggie to take it off.

Oh! We're headed to Banff on spring break too, so all our snowboard gear and other crap will go up there too, because a week of stuff with gear won't fit in the trunk.

PS: What's "back from the 6" mean? :)

Looks good! Just noticed you are in Winnipeg, maybe see you around sometime. I have the older Rapid Traverse feet on mine.
