Picked up my new FK8 3 months ago in July and has been the best decision i've ever made; coming from a BMW M135i. Best car for me to get back into the Honda game after previously owning an EM1 & EP3.

Thought I'd start a thread as there isn't many FK8's on the UK forums.

    Delivery day:

Done a few little bits since i've had it, including:
    • Mishimoto Intake
    • Yellow Fog Covers
    • Mugen Wind Deflectors
    • HEL Brake Lines
    • Motul RBF600 Fluid
    Few more photos:

First track day in it at Silverstone:

It performed really well! Stock pads felt good (will still get upgraded!) Only downside I found was the stock Continental Sport Contact 6's melting after 5 laps!

Got alot of attention at Trax Silverstone (uk car show):

Spent most the day watching people argue about whether the FK2 or FK8 looks nicer

    And how she sits today:

Stay tuned, I have alot planned for this car! Plans for before next year:
    • Custom Cat Back Exhaust
    • Wheels (unsure yet, will be 18s or 19s, suggestions welcome, would like something that hasn't been done before otherwise I would be straight on TE37, CE28N etc.)
    • Eibach Pro Kit Springs (waiting to be fitted)
    Future Plans:
    • Seibon Carbon Bonnet
    • Downpipe
    • Intercooler
    • Hondata or KTuner
    • Trackday oriented Pads
    • Dream Suede Wheel
    • Gear Knob (unsure yet, don't like the feel of the OEM)
    • And a hell of alot of trackdays!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned!

Looks good! This color is supposed to come to the states this year and I am anxious to see it in person

Thanks, it really does need to be seen in person! I was also anxious ordering one in this colour having never seen one before.

I'm going to be real honest, I hate SGP. With a passion. I've been dreading hearing that when mine ships (wait list) that is going to be SGP (lets be honest, I'll take what color I can get just to have the car). That being said, the red accents look great with it, and this car may have caused me to reverse course on my feelings about that color. Good looking ride man.

It really is one of those colours that people either love or hate. But again, it really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated! Also thank you for the kind words.

Sonic is really starting to grow on me, but Honda got the name wrong, they really should have called it "Sonic Blue-Gray pearl" because in a lot of the pics it really looks more blue to me than gray.
To me, these two pics look like 2 different cars, and two different colors.

    Enjoy.

    Nice looking car .

Great to see someone else based in the UK on here .

Just a quick question OP regarding the wheels , are you changing for aesthetics ? Or for better performance as I am very worried that if you mess with the way Honda set this car up you will spoil the best handling car out there !

You do know in this months EVO magazine it won ECOTY along with the 911 GT3 gen 2

    *Little Update*

Went to Mimms Honda Day at Santa Pod couple weeks ago. Managed a 13.7 @ 107MPH which is pretty impressive for a stock car that isn't made for straight lines.

Fitted the HKS SQV4 BOV supplied by Dream Automotive.

Got a few bits going on this week:
    • Apex EC-7 18 x 9.5J ET43 in Satin Black wrapped in 265/35/18 AD08R
    • Eibach Pro Kit Springs
    • PRL Intercooler
Will upload some new pics once these are fitted and will hopefully get some track time too at Japfest Silverstone in May.

Next bits will defo be a Dream Catless Downpipe & Hondata.

I wouldn't worry about changing the handling. My winter wheels are totally different size and offset than the OEM wheels and unless I'm actively thinking about it, I don't notice much. Just a wee bit of torque steer when hammering the throttle, but seriously nothing crazy. My V6 Acura was way worse for torque steer.

    *UPDATE*

We are now sitting on Eibach Sportline Springs! :)

    20190417_185244.jpg
    20190419_162006.jpg

Just waiting on new wheels to arrive and springs to settle so I can fit my Eibach Rear Camber Arms and hopefully not have to trim the rear fenders.

    20190419_195930.jpg

Had a rare warm day in the UK yesterday so suffered from heatsoak badly... however, this is sitting around waiting to be fitted..

    IMG-20190418-WA0135.jpeg

Need this fitted along with Wheels and Camber Arms ready for Japfest 5th May for some cheeky track time!

In my opinion, the FK8 is better in every single way. The FK8 is slightly faster in the straights and handles miles better (obviously.)

Tunability is slightly easier on the M135i and the iDrive is miles better than the Honda's infotainment system but these 2 things don't really bother me.

Fitted my PRL Intercooler and Apex EC-7 18x9.5j ET43 wrapped in AD08R 265/35/18 this week:

Really happy with how they're sitting! No rubbing so far! Expecting my HKS Legamax next week so will have that fitted soon too!
