Just wait a second or two after closing the door and stand next to your car. You will hear one beep knowing the car is locked. If you walk away to fast, then you will hear the 3 beeps like you have noticed.
This usually works for me.
Same thing happens to me. Haven't figured out the cause. It's almost as if the car gets confused. I have two workarounds:I have my auto lock set for when I walk away from the car. It seems to work for most of the time, but at random, it will beeping quickly as I am walking away, and not lock the vehicle......Any others experiencing this or have a fix?
Sorry if there's already a thread on this, but how do you set up the auto lock feature? ThanksI have my auto lock set for when I walk away from the car. Except sometimes, it is none of the above and the car is just confused. When that happens, albeit rarely, I use the keyfob to lock the doors as I'm walking away. When the car makes the rapid beeping 10 times or so. It means there's a door open, the car is running or the key is inside the vehicle.
It jus does? Kinda like how you cant start the car if your friend holds your key fob outside the vehicle and you push the button inside. It knows its proximity to the baseHow does the Civic know if the fob is still in the car?
That I get, but I imagine the car knows the proximity of the fob, not the person. It jus does? Kinda like how you cant start the car if your friend holds your key fob outside the vehicle and you push the button inside. It knows its proximity to the base
