Just installed the Morimoto elite kit with relay. Is it normal for the lights to flicker and buzz loud for a few seconds? Once they’re warmed up, it all goes away and operates fine.

I’ve searched online about it, and seems like other peoples kit keep flickering and buzzing and doesn’t go away. So they use a capacitor to fix the problem.

If it goes away fairly quickly I would not worry about it.

No, that is normal for many HID ballasts.
The relay harness had a positive for the battery and then a negative wire for the battery. Does it matter if I put that on the negative or just find a solid ground spot on the frame itself?

I used a solid ground spot, but tested it with the negative terminal of the battery as well. No difference in the initial buzzing.
