Question about front emblems, FK8

Hey all. I'm going to be removing my bumper soon and bought this as a replacement grille:

Unfortunately one of the tabs broke in shipment so I need to solve that (getting a partial refund for it, which I'm actually fine with). But since it was here, I went to test-fit my JDM Access Dark Chrome front badge and surprisingly, it doesn't fit. I'm not at a point where I can test the stock emblem in the new grille.

Does anyone know if that optional front emblem isn't made to fit the FK8? It's here: https://jhpusa.com/products/honda-access-black-emblem-kit-3pc-2016-civic-hatchback

Just wondering if maybe that "kit" front emblem was never meant to fit the FK8. The rear emblem was fine, for whatever that's worth.

Not sure if anyone has any experience with the ebay grille I bought, but if possible, I'd like to get an emblem that works for it before install, as opposed to taking it all apart again later.

I have the same grille. Any OEM emblem for the 10th gen will not fit. The emblem used for, and comes with, the grille is slightly smaller than OEM. You therefore wont get a good fit with the Honda Access black chrome front emblem.
