Protecting seats

I came from an Element - those seats were virtually indestructible and held up to my kiddos and dogs pretty well.

Any pointers for protecting the seats? I plan on buying the official back seat cover and using the Prince Lion seat pads for carseat protection, but not sure about the front seats.

I think Greco makes some sort of cover you can put on the back of your front seats. So if your kids feet touch the back of the seat, they are protected.
