I installed my prl catless down and front pipe today. Now my car sounds like a Honda very raspy. I still have stock rear exhaust. Also hearing so many rattles and vibrations now. I'm guessing heatshield. Has anyone experienced the same thing. Will a catback exhaust smooth the exhaust tone? This is my first Honda. I've mainly had Euro cars and when I installed downpipe on them or sounded great.

Thanks in advance for any responses

Vibrant resonator and vibrant muffler will probably sound great. I’m catless with a vibrant muffler and no resonator and it sounds good.

The rattling noise is caused from going from a 3" pipe to a 2" where the bottle neck occurs. So to answer your question, yes doing the rest of the exhaust should eliminate it if staying full 3", haven't heard it on anyone's car going from 3" to 2.5" either tho. The raspy sound will still be there tho, not near as bad when running catted

I have the RV6 Catless DP / FP and yes, the rasp / noise is amplified. I had a shop put on a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator in place of the Stock one which tamed it down a bit.
