Is anyone else running into issues with the screws holding the side plate of the box in place? I checked my intake yesterday and all but 1 screw had fallen out...

Mine has been in a few weeks now, zero issues.
I used loctite on mine.

As instructed use loctite, that’s what’s going to help a lot. Of course also torque down to instructed value.

I’ll get some new screws and go the loctite route, I did use the recommended torque per the instructions.

same thing happened with me, all but one screw was out. I just ordered new screws and installed them yesterday to spec. I’ll keep an eye on it to see if they stay.

@PRL Motorsports, I just installed the high volume intake in my fk8.. Is it normal that the rpm needle jumps up and down when coming to a stop?
It’s almost a sound like a cammed car!!
Anyone has experienced any issues with this intake?

No, it sounds like you might have a loose connection/leak somewhere. I'd go back through and double check everything.

Please check all your intake connections to make sure you do not have a leak anywhere.

Make sure to tighten the bolts down securely and if you are unsure you can use loctite on the bolts. The size of these if you need to source them is m5x.80x10mm long flanged bolts. Male sure to secure the back bracket that is attached to the rubber stopper on the intake as well. Still having issues shoot us an email to our support :)

after a few drives with it, i'd have to say this is amazing.
Coming from an afe intake, both IAT and the sound is definitely improved.

only con if i can even call it a con is the fact that i had to bend the factory tube and that the silicone hose is really tight and makes it slightly harder to install than the afe i previously had.

I used external tooth lock washers after all mine backed and fell out.

Glad they got all these issues ironed out before releasing it. [/sarcasm]

Thankfully none of us here were rushing PRL to hurry and "take our money"

These issues in a first run are very minor and are to be expected. I'd be concerned if the product didn't perform or exploded :p
