I bought the prl intercooler along with the upgraded charge pipes. I'm on like the last 10% of my install, but i can’t figure this last part out.
So I put the prl adapter on the passenger side of the IC using 2 out of the 4 hex bolts supplied:

However, the driver's side is what I can't figure out - The 2 other hex bolts fit into the adapter, but there is nothing to secure it to because the holes that line up on the IC are too big...

Below is the driver's side of the IC and the adapter that it is supposed to fit to.

Holes too big for hex bolt on IC (I can easily slide these in and out)

Also I have this bracket along with 2 round head screws and 2 bolts that I have NO IDEA what to do with. It doesn't mention anywhere in the instructions about this bracket.

This is what PRL shows in their instruction manual, but how the hell is that adapter attached!?!?

If anyone could help I would REALLY appreciate it. I have been pulling my hair out for the last hour trying to figure this out. I also watched TTores' youtube install video, but he doesn't show this part and I watched chris lowpes youtube install video and his doesn't have any adapters, it's just all welded on as one.

Thanks!

I’ve been following their instructions, but it does not explain how to get the adapter on. It just shows a picture of it magically on. If you don’t secure it with the 2 other hex bolts that were provided, then how do you secure it to the IC?
Lol you have V1 or V2 intercooler and piping?

You would only use the adapters if your retaining stock ic piping

How come they show this adapter attached straight to the IC in the instructions?

The only way to attach the cold side piping is with that piece attached to the IC.

It was the same when I installed the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler. You only use the adapters if you retain stock intercooler piping. You would not use the adapters with their piping

Then put the damn PRL IC piping on it.

You don’t have the upgraded IC piping? Did you only buy the upgraded billet core?

What I meant was if you did not buy the Mishimoto charge pipes with IC and you kept the stock charge pipes, then you needed to use the adapters. I had only bought the IC, so in my case I had to use the adapters that came with it

Did you try using the stock Intercooler cold-side bolts to mount the piece to the intercooler?
