Hi all,
First time posting but have look thru some topics. Mainly to the reliability of both the EX and EX-T. Window shop online and manage to find both a 2017 EX and 2016 EX-T around the $14,000. EX has around 76,XXX miles and EX-T has around 60,000 miles. EX online pricing shows $14,888 and EX-T at $14,000. Of course, the EX-T has more options I want and not exactly needed. So with the slightly lower in pricing of the EX-T that's what I'm aiming for right now. Only concern was the color which is the Burgundy Night Pearl with the Ivory interior. Haven't seen the car yet, so can't really say I like it or hate it, but I'm leaning towards not liking the color. Contact the dealership about the car and offered $12,800. They counter with $13,250+tax/fee. It's within the range of what I'm looking for and willing to pay. However, I don't do good in barging. And am wondering if this is a good/decent deal. I'm within the KBB price range and is below the typical price. Anything else I should look for? Only noticed the issues of the wheel bearing and possibly the fuel dilution issues on the turbo engine. So will try to see if I hear any grinding noice on the wheel and any smell of fuel. Aside from that, I'm clueless on what else to check.
Thanks for looking and chiming in.
Regards Ken, hopefully to a soon to be Civic EX-T owner.
BTW, I'm located in SF, California. So I'm pretty sure just my location itself raised the price/value of the car.
