Wanted a good match to silver that would be good for high mileage driving. Same fit as Sport or SI. Enkei YS5 hyper black 18x8 +50. General G-Max AS-05 235/40-18.

Got my track setup on! 17x8 ET45 Enkei RPF1 with 245/40R17 Firestone Indy 500 summer tires. Stellar tires, and at 15.6lbs per wheel I feel like I am driving a go-kart!

I've read on various other forums that 1lbs of unsprung weight equals to 10lbs of sprung weight. This means that I've lost 12.5 pounds per corner (OEM Si wheel is 28.1lbs) or 50lbs all around, which means my car went from driving like a 2906lbs Si sedan to a 2406lbs Si sedan. Am I doing the math right?

That is awesome. i love the look of those wheels on your Si. My only concern is that there are no center caps on the wheels. On my previous civic (2016 EX-T) i put wheels on with no center caps. In less than a week there was visible surface rust.

Thanks! Almost all of the RPF1's I see don't have center caps, and not sure if the finish is very durable which has prevented rust. I am not disagreeing with your statement, this now prompts me to do more research and see which center caps will fit.

Can anyone verify if the ones on the OEM wheels will fit these Enkei wheels?

Tire Rack sells Enkei center caps for the RPF1's....IMO they are expensive and not all that pretty

Current autocross setup: 17x8 Drag DR9s with 245/40 RE71Rs. Not that light ~20lbs and not that pretty (spray painted white by a PO)

But just picked up these yesterday on fb marketplace. 17x8 RPF1s should be good enough to drop ~4lbs a corner! A little rough around the edges but price was too good to pass up.

Hey everyone, I’m looking at getting some VMR V701’s at 18x8.5 and didn’t know what offset to go with, 35 or 45? I want to stay away from rubbing, but I still want a flush aggressive look. I have an SI sedan with stock suspension (for now). Also, tire size? 235 or 245? It seems like there are some mixed answers about this one?

Have to ask, why the wider wheels in the rear?

Bought a used set, got a great deal and thought I'd give them a go. So no particular reason other than knowing that 17x9'' ET35 won't cause issues.
