Bought one of the first Civic hatchbacks. 6 months in my auto door opener stopped working. Per this website I was told to disconnect the battery which fixed it for awhile. Then it happened again and I did the battery thing again but this time hit start button to discharged the capacitors .That lasted about a year when it happened again and I decided to just live with it.

Yesterday for no reason it started to work again. My question is can Honda somehow download a fix for a problem they never acknowledge without me knowing it?
Thanks, Bud

Parts on car come from hundreds of different suppliers. From seats, gauge cluster, windows glass etc etc are from different companies. Not surprised some cars will have random issues.

We’ll see a lot more issues like this pop up in the next few years. Ive been having trouble with my fuel door lock mechanism. I have to pry my fuel door open to refuel. Looks pretty sketchy
