Poor radio reception when using rear defroster

This might be specific to the lower trim levels since the radio antenna is in the rear windshield and not the fin on the frog. But whenever I have the rear defroster turned on I can't really pick up any radio stations. It doesn't even matter if I'm in a big city, it's 95% static until I turn it off and then it's 100% clear. Anyone else have this problem?

It hasn't been much of an issue so far cause it's been such a mild winter so far but in a couple more weeks this is gonna be really annoying.
