I got a 90 degree USB plug so I could set mine in the pocket in front of the shifter.

Yup I did the same thing if you get a cable with the right angle connector I can get my iPhone X to sit in there flush

Do you foresee any issue with getting the adhesive off if you were to remove it? Apparently it's industrial-strength 3M VHB tape. I like the form-factor of the mount and didn't realize pop sockets were collapsible (always wondered how people fit them in their pockets). I'm just wary of a semi-permanent mount on the headunit.

I have it on the other side. Its a bit of a reach, but I only use it with android auto.

Whats best cell phone mount for new SI? Where are you mounting cell phone. Im always looking for something that doesn't screw up dash or connect in a way where its awkward etc.

I bought this one from Amazon. It took a good 3 weeks to get, but it is perfect for me. Looks like it was OEM.

Here's the latest one I made. I had an issue with the molding plastic I got this summer....on a hot day I came out and found liquid plastic all over my center console...........(ouch)

So here's my latest one!


Basically its the same as what I made before, but on ebay I got the center pillar covers which hold snug. I cut it down and glued my holder to the console cover. Now it's just ready for paint!

All done! The pictures show it with my old phone in it since it's hard to take pictures with my phone actually in it, but you'll get the idea. It leaves no marks, its removable and everything!

I have an iOttie and I like it. It does get in the way of the shifter a bit, but it's not so intrusive that I can't get into gears. It holds my gigantic Note 8 just fine.

I have a Scoshe suction mount. Pic attached. I put my wallet in the holder to give you an idea. It works well and phone does not fall off.

I don't have any pictures of it, but I had a KUDA mount in my Civic Si (http://www2.kudausa.com/kuda_mount_and_holder_for_honda_civic_since_2016-11-853.html). There are two to choose from, one that mounts above the head unit near the vents and one that mounts to the right of the head unit, next to the glove box. I had the one that mounts to the right near the glove box. You first choose the base and then the holder that you want to mount to the base. They are a bit pricey compared to the cheap mounts that are available, however it's a great solution that looks OEM! Ended up getting one for the new GTI that I just purchased.

This mount is PERFECT. For me, it is not only the best one for the Civic, but best one I've had for ANY vehicle. I have a fancy expensive one for my Jeep, and it's great. But it's expensive and rather large. That this one is so inexpensive, and fits so perfectly and seamlessly like it's OEM... I am thrilled with it. Set my phone landscape, and it's almost like Honda engineers designed it for that spot.

I like it, but I think I would prefer something off to the right of the radio, so it's not directly in the way of the vents and getting too hot or too cold. Not a huge deal though, can always switch it to floor only or something.
