So I just had the Perrin motor mount inserts installed.

What should I expect ????

I do feel a little vibration on slow take off now, but nothing annoying.

I've only driven about 30 miles with them so far.

Thanks

I have them in my R, maybe 1k miles with them. Feel a little vibration in idle when the A/C is on but definitely I can deal with it, nothing compare with any of the aftermarket mounts. I bet with a little more use the vibration will be less.

Feels nearly stock on my R, just slight rumble at very low rpms when blipping the throttle. Really nice way more mild than my Hasport mount I had in my Si

I just swapped out my 27won RMM today for the winter. With the cold weather came too much resonance and vibration for me. I reinstalled my factory RMM and added the Perrin inserts. I seriously can't believe how smooth and quiet the car is again. I guess that I had just grown used to the roughness but this just might be the final solution for me since I actually daily it in good weather. Under hard acceleration it didn't wheel hop and it was smooth. It was a pain in the butt to swap out with my RV6 downpipe and 3" front pipe but it was absolutely worth it. Considering the very low cost for this modification and the great results this has to be one of the best bang for the buck mods for the CTR. If this feels as stable and transfers power without wheel hop when I add a sticky tire 18" wheel setup this spring I think I might just leave it on the car! I love it!!

Thanks for the detailed photos @hpbyhermann

Am planning on doing either the Perrin or Whiteline insert but can't decide which one.

Fyi:
The Whiteline inserts are 94A shore hardness. The Perrin are 70A .So more nvh with the Whiteline ones i guess.
Thanks for that info since I was curious. Was guessing the Whiteline had to be harder since it looked like the insert was smaller. Only judging by the photos on their website. Makes one wonder if that will dial it down on the harshness or not.

so with the insert what is it comparable to? is the Perrin like a hasport 62A or less holding power. Is the Whiteline 90A like a HAsport 70A holding power?

Unfortunately with the cold weather I can't give you an honest apples to apples comparison. I had the 27won mount on mine in warm weather conditions and had zero wheel hop and it controlled the engine rotation well. The only issue for me was the additional NVH that was most noticeable when first driving the car in the morning while it was cold. In the summer the initial NVH subsided somewhat after the car warmed up but was still very noticeable. Since I daily drive it I just wanted it to be smoother again. I'll report back when the weather gets warm again and if I notice any changes in the mean time.

Well since I posted this question I have noticed a lot of difference between stock and the Perrin.

Much better traction
Much less wheel hop
A little bit more vibration during engine start and take off from a stop

Well worth it.

Installed one of these yesterday on my 2019 hatch ST. Super easy mod... cheap, and reversible if needed. Understandably, there is more vibration transfer from the engine to the chassis... but not a whole lot, and I really like the way it connects me to the car. The car seems a little more responsive to throttle input.

Going to be installing mine soon will report back opinion.

Most giving feedback just focus on the NVH and vibration - what's the experience of the mod? Does it inspire more confidence in turns or just eliminates / mitigates wheel hop and helps acceleration? For 30 bucks I figured wtf but curious as well before install.

From what everyone says it mitigates/reduces wheel hop and improves traction to the road. I'm not sure if I'd expect better handling characteristics out of it unless you're talking about something like corner exit acceleration.

That's what I was looking for actually to see if it benefited in other areas.

Oh well 30 bucks and an easy job if I don't like it I'll ship it someone else that can try it lol
