hey everyone. I wanted to get some advice. The other night I was driving and i noticed the parking brake switch wasn't backlit, which was odd. Well the next night it started flashing. Now it flashes on and off constantly when the backlight is supposed to be on. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm tempted to call my local dealership about it. I have a video but I can't figure out how to attach it to this post

I guess the first thing to check would be the connection. Here's how you get to it.

BTW, upload your video to YouTube, then copy the URL and paste it in your post.

Does it blink in a regular on and off pattern? Or is it like a random bad connection type of thing?

My first guess would be that something got spilled into the switch.

Good luck.

it’s just a random flash, like a short or something. the car is still under warranty so i assume the dealer would take care of it
